Why We Need Self-Leveling for Vinyl Flooring Installation?

Many people encounter the problem of whether we need to do self leveling before laying vinyl sheet flooring. People who are installing vinyl flooring for the first time believe that there is a high possibility of development and may not fully understand what self leveling is.

The meaning of self leveling

Self leveling, active solvent paint, self leveling, particle high-density epoxy floor paint architectural coating, used in ground construction sites, is a liquid chemical substance made by mixing various raw materials with water. This chemical substance can be used for fully automatic ground leveling based on uneven ground and utilizing the fluidity of the ground.

Why do we need to do self leveling for vinyl sheet flooring installation?

Vinyl flooring sheet is a thin building material with a thickness between 2 millimeters and 3 millimeters. The material is a soft building material that has a high adjustment to the ground. If PVC flooring is laid unevenly on the ground or reaches the adjusted ground, it can cause hollowing on the floor and walls, causing uneven ground levels and immediately endangering the laying quality and feel. Completely unable to afford the unique decorative design effectiveness of PVC flooring. After leveling and entering the ground, the ground can improve its compressive strength and luster.

Of course, some people can feel that their flooring is very flat and do not need to be self leveling anymore. There is an additional construction process design process, so which ground service quality does not need to be self leveling?

The ground itself is a polyvinyl chloride floor for the store, and the flatness requirements of this floor itself do not need to be done unless the ground conditions are very poor.

For very flat floor tiles or glazed tiles, the gap between the floor tiles must not change significantly, without height differences, falling corners, or severe wear. If there is a large gap between the tiles, bubbles may appear, or after a period of working time, the PVC floor will pass through the checkered floor tile marks. This type of enterprise situation does not harm social applications, but it will affect the serious pollution hazards and aesthetics.

The original epoxy floor adopts epoxy resin self-leveling, but the strength and flatness of epoxy resin self-leveling must be specified and must not be damaged. Before applying adhesive, it should be polished to avoid problems such as water bubbles.

The relatively short usage time, low requirements for aesthetics, and the occurrence of small bubbles are difficult problems that we don’t care much about. In such situations, we don’t need to do self leveling, otherwise we need quality and aesthetics. Self leveling for PVC flooring cannot be directly omitted.
