Sky City Kindergarten is located at Wuchang Metro Station in Hangzhou Future Science and Technology City. The kindergarten has a building area of 7800 square meters and 15 classes. The overall layout of the building adopts a combination of architecture and corridors, enclosing a central courtyard. The first floor is partially elevated to connect the central courtyard with the northern activity area, creating a rich and interesting space. The architectural form retreats layer by layer, forming a staggered terrace, creating a friendly interface while distinguishing itself from other buildings and establishing its own recognizability; The layered retreat not only enriches the architectural form, but also increases the space for children’s activities, forming a three-dimensional children’s exclusive playground.
The design of the kindergarten takes the psychological characteristics of children’s innocence as the starting point, endowing the kindergarten with the unique “atmosphere, design sense, and playability” of an amusement park. Let the building fully connect with nature. Borderless and endless, bring the “little forest” into the kindergarten, where pillars become trees, beams become bridges, and continuous stairs and slides spiral up around the “tree”, activating each level of space and making every space a “playground” for various interactive play experiences such as running, jumping, climbing, hiding, hiding, and touching
