Peking University Third Hospital now building more hospitals in Cangping, Zhongyangdangxiao, Capital Airport, Northern, Chongli and Qinhuangdao area.

The Third Hospital of Peking University (BUPT) was founded in 1958 and is a large comprehensive hospital affiliated with Peking University. It also undertakes the tasks of the Third Clinical School of Peking University and is a hospital under the supervision of the National Health Commission. It is a comprehensive tertiary hospital that integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, preventive healthcare, rehabilitation, and health management. At present, the hospital has an average of over 2300 open beds.

It is understood that currently, Beijing Third Hospital has a total of five hospital districts in Beijing. In addition to the main campus, there are also Reproductive Medicine Center, Second Outpatient Department, Central Party School Campus, Airport Campus, and Northern Campus. The headquarters and branch areas of the hospital implement homogeneous management. At the same time, Peking University Third Hospital has taken care of two district hospitals, Haidian Hospital and Yanqing Hospital; Entrusting Yan’an Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital; Construct two national regional medical centers, Chongli Campus of Peking University Third Hospital and Qinhuangdao Hospital of Peking University Third Hospital. The headquarters and branch areas of the hospital implement homogeneous management.

Peking University Third Hospital Changping Campus, with 600 beds

The new hospital area has orthopedics, general surgery, gastroenterology, endocrinology, gynecology, urology, nephrology, cardiovascular medicine, neurology, interventional vascular surgery, respiratory medicine, tumor chemotherapy and radiology, tumor radiotherapy, critical care medicine, emergency department (only emergency consultation room area, observation area and infusion area are set up, without wards), infectious disease department, health management department and other diagnostic and therapeutic subjects. The Changping campus is planned to have 600 beds.

The Central Party School Campus of Peking University Third Hospital is located at No. 100 Dayouzhuang, Haidian District, Beijing. It is one of the practicing institutions of Peking University Third Hospital and was established on May 30, 2006. The Central Party School campus has established expert clinics, specialized clinics, and general clinics, as well as a 100 bed inpatient department.

The Capital International Airport Campus of Peking University Third Hospital is a directly affiliated campus of Peking University Third Hospital and is vertically managed by the headquarters of Peking University Third Hospital. The airport campus is equipped with advanced equipment and facilities, including 300 beds and fully functional operating rooms and intensive care centers. According to the purpose of the group development of Peking University Third Hospital, the airport campus and the medical services, teaching and research work of the headquarters are developed in a homogenized manner, managed and operated in accordance with the standards of a tertiary Grade A comprehensive hospital. Set up disciplines in the “major specialty, small comprehensive” mode, with chronic disease management as the main focus, and metabolic and cardiovascular diseases as important levers.

The North Campus of Peking University Third Hospital (hereinafter referred to as the North Campus) is a directly affiliated campus of Peking University Third Hospital. The Third Hospital of Beijing Medical University currently offers outpatient clinics for cardiovascular medicine, respiratory and critical care medicine, endocrinology, nephrology, gastroenterology, rheumatology and immunology, geriatrics, neurology, dermatology, traditional Chinese medicine, tumor radiotherapy, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, interventional vascular surgery, rehabilitation medicine, gynecology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, pain management, wound treatment center, clinical nutrition, and occupational diseases in the northern campus area. Experts from the Third Hospital of Beijing Medical University provide consultations. At the same time, cardiovascular medicine, respiratory and critical care medicine, gastroenterology, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, and obstetrics and gynecology wards will be established, with experts from Peking University Third Hospital conducting surgeries. In addition, the northern campus has large and medium-sized inspection and testing equipment such as Da Vinci surgical robots, MRI, CT, etc. The Northern Hospital always adheres to the concept of putting patients first, providing high-level specialized diagnosis and treatment and high-quality medical services for the general public.

The Chongli campus of Peking University Third Hospital covers a total area of 2.67 hectares, with a current building area of 20215 square meters and a capacity of 200 beds. In 2018, the People’s Government of Zhangjiakou City, the People’s Government of Chongli District, and the Third Hospital of Peking University jointly signed an agreement on the establishment of Chongli Campus of Peking University Third Hospital; On December 7th of the same year, the Chongli Campus of Peking University Third Hospital held a plaque unveiling ceremony and was officially renamed as the Chongli Campus of Peking University Third Hospital. On January 24, 2019, the Chongli campus of Peking University Third Hospital was designated as a designated hospital for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics. On January 31, it was managed as a tertiary comprehensive hospital, and on January 17, 2020, it was approved for provincial hospital fees. On December 4, 2020, the hospital was awarded the title of “Chinese Ice and Snow Athlete Medical Base” by the Winter Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China. On December 5, the hospital was officially unveiled as a national regional medical center.

Peking University Third Hospital Qinhuangdao Hospital is a comprehensive public hospital established with Peking University Third Hospital as the output hospital and the former Qinhuangdao Military Hospital as the support hospital, integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, health and wellness. The second batch of national regional medical center pilot projects was approved on June 11, 2021. In 2023, the Qinhuangdao Hospital of Peking University Third Hospital was unveiled, officially integrating with Peking University Third Hospital and implementing homogeneous management. Adhering to the “large specialty, small comprehensive” hospital model, it introduced advantageous disciplines, high-level experts, and advanced management models.

The new campus is located in the core area of Qinhuangdao Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering an area of 200000 square meters, with a total construction area of 252500 square meters and 1200 beds.
