Longda Flooring Project: Geriatrics Center Of Anhui Hospital

Recently, the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction project of Anhui Provincial Hospital Binhu Campus was successfully held. The planning of this hospital area mainly includes a comprehensive hospital with 1200 beds and an elderly health center with 300 beds, focusing on geriatric medicine and health services, and striving to become a first-class geriatric medical center and health base in China.

The construction project of the Binhu Campus of Anhui Provincial Hospital is an important construction project that implements the guiding principles of the 14th Five Year Plan and the Healthy China 2030 Plan. The smooth commencement of construction is of great significance for better promoting the high-quality development of the health industry in Anhui Province. After completion, it will accelerate the construction of a strong public health system and comprehensively promote the construction of a healthy Anhui.

The Binhu Campus Construction Project is located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Jinxiu Avenue and Anhui Road, covering a total area of 120.37 acres, with a planned construction area of approximately 350000 square meters (including 41000 square meters for the elderly health center). The project plan mainly includes a comprehensive hospital with 1200 beds (including outpatient and emergency departments, medical technology, comprehensive inpatient buildings, maternal and child health centers, etc.), a 300 bed elderly health center, and administrative office, scientific research, teaching and training rooms.

The smooth commencement of construction of the project has injected new momentum into enhancing the hospital’s comprehensive strength, achieving high-quality development, and creating a first-class hospital. At the same time, it has further increased the supply of high-quality medical resources in Anhui Province, improved the ability to meet the multi-level and diversified health needs of the people, especially in improving the development level of geriatric related disciplines in Anhui Province and better responding to population aging, which is of great significance.

The project has a duration of 5 years and is expected to be completed by the end of 2027. After the completion of the project, as an important component of the “One Hospital, Multiple Zones” of the First Affiliated Hospital of the University of Science and Technology of China, it will be led by the “New Medicine of the University of Science and Technology of China”, guided by “gathering advantages, highlighting characteristics, and promoting the development of disciplinary clusters”, focusing on geriatric medicine and health services, gathering high-quality resources, concentrating advantageous forces, implementing differentiated disciplinary settings and resource aggregation allocation in the hospital, focusing on forming a functional layout with distinct characteristics, complementary advantages, and differentiated development, and striving to become a first-class geriatric medical center and cadre health base in China
