Longda Flooring Project: Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention

The Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention is located in Shuangbutou Industrial Park, Songzhuang Town, Tongzhou District, Beijing. The new site covers an area of 80400 square meters and has a construction area of 124500 square meters. Compared to the original site, the experimental building area at the new site will increase from 24000 square meters to 46000 square meters. After the completion of the new site, the laboratory testing capacity will increase from the existing 1100 items to 1800 items. The new site will also establish an independent emergency response center for public health emergencies, a health education experience center, a collection center for bacterial and toxin species, and a global health center that integrates scientific research, teaching, and training. This is a major measure taken by Beijing to strengthen the construction of the public health system, improve the mechanism for major epidemic prevention and control, and enhance public health capabilities.

After the new location of the Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention is put into use, its research capabilities will be greatly improved, and it will undertake major regional and national industry research projects. By integrating resources, the comprehensive utilization rate of laboratory area can be improved, facilitating the overall design and construction of a scientific and economical laboratory building with first-class technology.
